CarbonQ Coatings

A multilingual manufacturer site was rewritten from Elementor to ACF for load time, keeping its look and content, with training dates run as a calendar-driven state machine.

What came in

A multilingual site for a maker of protective films and ceramic coatings worked, but loaded slowly on Elementor. The brief was to fix its PageSpeed results while keeping the existing look and content unchanged.

What I built

The content layer moved from Elementor to ACF fields, so every page renders from a fixed template with nothing assembling the layout at runtime, across a catalogue of a dozen or so protective film variants (gloss, matte, black, smoked, pearl, carbon and coloured, each its own item with its own description), plus ceramic coatings, a house brand and a training section. Training dates run on a small state machine driven off the calendar, with nobody editing a table by hand: a date is announced with an active signup button and a seat count, moves to full with a contact link once the seat pool hits zero, gets a live marker and moves to the top of the list while it is running, and stays visible with a marker if cancelled, so someone who has already booked travel still finds it. Dates that have passed drop off on their own, because the query only pulls dates from today forward.

What changed

All four language versions — English, Polish, German and French — were rebuilt individually on WPML as part of the same migration, with the training states working identically in each. Reviews, a Q&A section and a list of contact people were split out as their own structures too, which matters for a manufacturer that sells through dealers: a workshop can look for a representative in its own market.

Worth knowing

The work ran from January to March 2024, and the site has stayed on my maintenance since. It also carries a separate "Cooperation" path aimed at car dealerships and dealer groups, alongside a partner list, with contact running through a form.
