Mediss Medical

A medical clinic site was rebuilt as a hand-coded WordPress theme, with specialisations and doctors run as linked custom post types across two languages from day one.

What came in

The clinic had a simple Elementor site that could not carry what the client needed: an extensive service offering, specialist profiles, pricing, and a connection to an external booking system.

What I built

I coded the theme from scratch from the agency’s Figma file, for the PageSpeed headroom a page builder cannot give past a certain point and for the freedom to match the client’s brand guidelines exactly. About twenty medical specialisations run as their own post type, linked through taxonomies and described with ACF fields, so adding a new one never touches the template. Doctors are a separate content type linked to specialisations, because one specialist often covers several areas and one specialisation is often covered by several doctors — baking that into static pages would mean editing several places for every change to the team, and the clinic takes on new specialists more often than it opens new rooms.

What changed

Both language versions, Polish and English, ran on WPML from day one, with English built as an equal content branch. Patient reviews are managed as their own posts.

Worth knowing

The offer itself runs from allergology, dermatology and cardiology through to neurosurgery and orthopaedics, alongside ultrasound scans, biopsies, surgical procedures and occupational medicine.
